At RPCHR, we specialize in providing HR and Employee Relations training and HR investigations training programs and workshops. Our training is very interactive and experiential, as we engage attendees in practical “hands on” skills development in how to properly conduct an investigation into allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, or other types of employee misconduct. Our most popular investigations training is our 12-contact hour program titled: How to Manage Employee Relations and Conduct HR Internal Investigations. This program provides a solid foundation of how to handle the intake of employee relations’ issues, how to appropriately respond to employee concerns, identify when an investigation must be launched, and practical skills development in how to properly conduct an employee relations investigation including how to document. Whether an in-person classroom or virtual classroom, our program provides an experiential learning environment in which attendees have the opportunity to work a “day-in-the-life” of an investigator to work through a mock investigation.

In the mock investigation portion of the training, attendees learn how to create a strategic investigative process to work a case, how to create witness interview questions, how to properly conduct witness interviews, how to evaluate methods for gathering evidence, how to determine credibility of witnesses, how to evaluate investigative findings, and discuss investigative outcomes with leadership and evaluate post-investigative strategies to minimize organizational risk.

In the past several years, we have definitely seen an increase in organizations requesting internal investigations training, especially HR investigations training. All one needs to do is look at a news feed today to see yet another employer that has been sued and had to settle a claim for harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, or other legal issues. And, in looking at the EEOC charge statistics, it is evident that there are a lot more EEOC charge notices are coming across the desks of HR professionals. And, if HR professionals are not doing a good job of investigating issues internally, and documenting them, the risk to the organization increases.

To determine the cost for providing your team with a training program, please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with pricing. The pricing for our programs is generally a per-person registration fee + the cost of instructor travel to/from the designated venue. However, for large-scale projects that may involve our designing a customized program for your organization, we will price on a per-project basis. And, pricing will vary depending upon the size of your group, how many class sessions will be needed to get your entire group through the training, and if the program will be in-person delivery or virtual. Additionally, all of our programs are facilitated by experienced HR investigators who are either licensed private investigators or employment law attorneys.

The prices quoted for team training programs are inclusive of instructor facilitation, one training workbook for each attendee, audiovisuals, handouts, Certificate of Training indicating 12 contact hours of instruction, and one author signed copy for each attendee of How to Conduct Internal Investigations: A Practical Guide for Human Resource Professionals, written by Natalie Ivey, President and CEO of RPCHR.
